What is Resume Creator?
Resume Creator is a free, browser-based résumé and CV builder made by Mohit Kumar. It offers eight templates, PDF, Word, text, HTML and JSON exports, and a résumé health check. The source code and tests are public on GitHub.
Where does my data go?
Résumé content is saved in this browser’s local storage. There are no accounts or résumé-upload services. Clearing browser data can delete your saved résumés; download a JSON backup from the dashboard to keep a separate copy or move between devices.
What do the tests cover?
The repository includes automated checks for text layout, template stability, file exports, editing, local persistence, keyboard interactions and selected accessibility rules. These checks help catch software regressions. They do not test every employer’s applicant tracking system or certify ATS compatibility.
What does the health check mean?
It flags issues such as missing contact information, inverted dates, weak verbs and unsupported PDF characters. It is a writing and formatting aid, not an employer’s ATS score, a ranking prediction or a guarantee of interviews.
How should I use the guides?
The writing guides provide practical examples and link to sources where used. Examples are illustrative, not accounts of real hiring outcomes. Follow the employer’s instructions and your country’s conventions. Published and updated dates describe the articles; rebuilding the app does not refresh those dates.
Report a problem
Report software issues or suggested content corrections through the GitHub issue tracker. Do not include private résumé content or contact details in a public issue.
